Welcome to Mrs. Young's calculus class blog! Each week, I will start a new post. Students, you can write questions for me or chat with each other about how to solve a particular problem. As part of your class participation grade each week, every student must comment at least once to my post or another student's comment. I look forward to spending this year with you. Enjoy!

You made it!
You made it to the last full week of calculus! Your AP exam is next Wednesday. I hope you are studying a lot at home! We will be finishing up the timed practice test this week. This will be your last post of the year! I'd like you to reflect back on your time in AP calculus. What have you learned, how do you feel now that's it's almost over, what will you take with you, how prepared do you feel for the exam, etc. It has been a privilege working with each and every one of you this year!

I feel like I have learned a lot this year! I've liked learning about all the different topics of calculus, and I think it will be beneficial for me when I go into engineering next fall. I feel decently prepared for this exam, and I will feel more so after this weekend and some cram studying :) You've been a great teacher and thanks for all of your help!
ReplyDeleteI have learned a lot this year!!! from derivatives and integrals to finding the area under a curve. I am glad to be done with calculus but I hope to remember everything that i have learned and to apply to the math classes that I will have to take in college this coming summer. I feel prepared for the exam but there are a few areas that I am not sure about.
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot of things this year. I feel like im mastering with math LOL. I learned limit, derivative, graph of function. It's weird that we are taking exam in few days!! Im so exited to finish calculus but worry about the exam :( Thanks for your great teaching, Mrs Young!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the year is finally over! I have learned so much this year. I thought it was going to be difficult, and it definitely has at times, but I feel like I have learned and taken in a lot of information, all the way back from limits, derivatives, integrals, area, and volume! I will be taking a lot away with me, but unfortunately won't be using it in college with my Social Work major. I do feel prepared for the test, but I feel like I need to practice some more free response questions before the exam! Thank you for your dedication to us this year Mrs. Young!
ReplyDeleteI think i learned a lot of things this year. Even though I will get low score on the test, I can retake calculus class in university. i think this class will help me a lot when I stduy in university.
ReplyDeleteI did learn a lot of stuff this year. I will study hard to get good grades on exam. I hope to remember everything. I feel unprepared as of right now, so I need to study more.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good attitude to have Ben. Most students end up taking Calculus 1 again in college, and they always say that they are so glad they took Calculus in high school because it prepared them for that class and they were able to get an A.
ReplyDeleteJoseph, I think most students in the class have not done enough studying and preparing at this point. Every night you guys should be studying. You should have been doing this for a while now. I know you guys can be successful. You just need to study, relax, breathe, and think about what you know, because you know this stuff!
I have learned a ton this year!!! Even though im going into nursing and probably won't need calculus i feel that it is definitely good information to know... and who knows? Maybe one day i'll be helping my kids with calculus:P I am really gonna work on not getting intimidated by the wording and apply everything you have taught us! Thank you so much for all you have done for me and the rest of our class:)it is greatly appreciated!!
