Welcome to Mrs. Young's calculus class blog! Each week, I will start a new post. Students, you can write questions for me or chat with each other about how to solve a particular problem. As part of your class participation grade each week, every student must comment at least once to my post or another student's comment. I look forward to spending this year with you. Enjoy!

Week 4

Welcome to week 4 of the 3rd quarter. Remember there is a chapter 5 test on Monday and Tuesday. We will start chapter 6 this week and we will learn about indefinite integrals and differential equations. For this week's post, I'd like you to describe one major thing that you have learned in chapter 5 and why you believe it is important.

  1. One major thing that I have learned in Chapter 5 is how to find the area under a curve using integration. It is important because using this method gives you the exact area under a curve using a formula, no estimating using shapes.

  2. One major thing that I learned this past chapter is how to find the area underneath a curve on a graph using integration. I think this is important because it is better than LRAM or RRAM or MRAM because you can find the exact area underneath a curve.

  3. The thing i learned is how to find the Anti-derivative of integrals, and how the two calculus halves work together. This is very important because it connects all that we have already learned and gives calculus more real life applications.

  4. one major thing ive learned is about the way to find the area of an wierd shape. i think the integration is not just a way to calculus but also a certain way to think. we can use the cutting stuff not only in a coordinate. i think that's why we learned about the infinity first.

  5. One major thing I've learned in chapter 5 is that an integral gives you the net area under a curve and not the total area. To find the total area you have to take the absolute value. This is important because it allows you to find the exact area under the curve.

  6. i learned how to find the antiderivitive of a function and how to evaluate a integral.

  7. this is important because using these two principals together allows you to find the area under a curve

  8. In this chapter, I learned how to find the antiderivative of a function and the integral. It is important because you can find the exact area under the curve. Also, antiderivative and derivatives are related, so they are important.

  9. I believe LRAM,RRAM,MRAM are important. When we figure out area of function between specific integral, we can use three of them. It is easy way to find out and especially MRAM helps us to find the closest area for real.

  10. The one thing that I have learned in chapter 5 is anti-derivatives of function and integral. Also we need to change derivative and anti-derivative of function easily back and forth.

  11. One thing I learned in chapter 5 is how to find the area under the curve of a function. Also, we learned what an anti derivative is. Both of these things can help find distance given a velocity-time graph!

  12. One thing that I learned in chapter 5 is what anti-derivative is and how to use anti-derivative with many different ways. We also learned LRAM,RRAM, and MRAM which is very important to find area under the curve.

  13. How to calculate the area under the carve,I think there the symbol is beautiful as well as much more complicate than the symbol we learnt before,so it is important never can be exaggrated .
